Internationaler Museumstag

On International Museum Day, the local history museum opens its doors free of charge until 5 p.m. and a free guided tour of the exhibitions is offered at 2 p.m. Early in the morning, the baking team will be working outside at the wood-fired oven, conjuring up delicious breads, exquisite plaited loaves, succulent pastries and sweet croissants. The sale starts at 9 a.m. and the baked goods can be taken home or enjoyed in the Herrenstube of the local history museum with a drink and a pleasant chat. As always, you can also bring your own pastries to bake for a small fee between 9 and 10.30 am. To bake your own dough, please register by Thursday with Helene Elmer, mail elmer-wolf@bluewin.ch or phone 079 377 89 92. There will also be dough available for the youngest visitors, from which the children can shape their own creations. Between 11 a.m. and 1.30 p.m., there will also be a festival restaurant with Mühlebrötchen, oven-baked meat loaf from Elmerhof and cheese slices. All baked in a wood-fired oven. In dry weather you can linger in the garden, in wet weather you can meet in the Herrenstube.
