The speed skating track in Davos is narrow. Therefore, the following guidelines apply to speed skaters.
- Skaters who are not actively moving on the ice skate on the outer edge of the track.
- Skaters who are actively moving on the ice skate on the inner edge of the track.
- Faster skaters always pay attention to slower skaters and overtake on the outside.
- Before an active skater returns to the outer edge of the track, look back briefly so that you do not hinder a faster skater. The same applies when starting to actively skate.
- If you want to take a break, you should leave the track.
- No standing skaters on the track.
- Do not form large groups on the ice. The track is too narrow for that.
- Speed skaters should always be one behind the other.
- The speed of each individual runner should be adapted to their ability in order to avoid falls. Safety is the top priority.
- Using the speed skating facility is expressly at your own risk. Mats provide protection at dangerous spots in the curve.
